The Post Office/grocery store and the local church are the two non-residential buildings in town.

TILLY, AR – DECEMBER 29, 2011

The Tilly, AR post office opened in 1943 and the location now shares space with the local grocery store. The post office/grocery store and the local church are the two non-residential buildings in town. The residents are not happy about the closure and say they will fight it.
All across America there are rural post offices that are on a list to close. These are a selection of rural post offices in central Arkansas that are on that list. If the post offices are closed those who use those locations will have to travel farther to use the post office or to gather their mail out of their PO boxes. The residents near these small Arkansas towns with post offices set to close are not happy.
